School Education
Mesila believes that the best medicine is prevention. Many families’ financial woes could have been averted if the couples had begun their married life with the knowledge and tools to maintain a financially stable home. For the past decade, Mesila has been working towards this goal by instilling healthy financial attitudes and practices in children and youth through innovative financial literacy education programs — complete with written texts, audio-visual material, and teacher guidance — in schools, yeshivas, and seminaries.
The Mesila education program has been lauded in all the schools where it has been installed. Many principals consider it more valuable than other classic parts of the secular curriculum. The curriculum has been produced in a variety of forms, adapted to age, language, and community. The long-term impact of this project is being felt more and more as time goes on and these students build their own homes.
